LILY ALLEN “OUR TIME” (VIDEO PREMIERE – AXE VERSION)

English singer-songwriter Lily Allen continues promoting her upcoming third studio album ‘Sheezus‘, scheduled to be released on May 5, 2014 via Parlophone and Warner Bros Records.

Alongside the pre-order of the album on iTunes, the ‘Hard Out Here‘ singer released a new song ‘Our Time‘ on March 10, 2014.

The track co-written by Allen and Greg Kurstin is the next promotional single from the album and serves as the follow-up to her latest single ‘Air Balloon‘, released in March 2. The music video for ‘Our Time’ directed by Chris Sweeney was also premiered on her Youtube channel the same day of the song’s release.

The singer released an alternate second music video featured some fans, winners of the contestant made by AXE in France. The new video was premiered on April 11, 2014.

LANA DEL REY “WEST COAST” (SINGLE PREMIERE)

Lana Del Rey is finally back! The ‘Born to Die‘ star has ready her highly-awaited new single, first taste of her upcoming second major and third overall studio album ‘Ultraviolence‘, scheduled to be released on May 1, 2014 via Interscope Records.

The first official single is called ‘West Coast’, produced by Rick Nowels. The singer confirmed the news on her Twitter page on April 3, 2014. ‘West Coast‘ was exclusively premiered on BBC Radio 1 on Monday April 14 on the Fearn Cotton show.

 The single is pure class, following the smooth, sensual singing style of her debut album, Lana delivered a Tarantino-flavor sound with a lot of changing tempos, introducing few new electronic sounds in her original style.

Besides, ‘West Coast‘ has a pretty catchy hook with the ‘Uh baby, Uh‘., plus that loud af, out-of-place, synth barging in and interrupting the last chorus give me everything.

 The promotional video was filmed in Long Beach in early April and it was directed by Vincent Haycock. It serves to promote the premiere of the track and was included on the official ‘audio’ video on VEVO. It will be released on iTunes later today and May 18th in the UK.

AVICII “YOU MAKE ME” (AVICII BY AVICII) [VIDEO PREMIERE]

“You Make Me” is a song produced by Swedish deejay and dance music producer Avicii. The track produced by himself in collaboration of Ash Pournouri was co-written by Salem Al Fakir, who sings in the song and Vincent Pontare.

It was released as the second official single taken from his debut studio album “True” released on digital retailers on 17 September, 2013 via PRMD and Island Records.

The follow-up track of worldwide smash single “Wake Me Up!” was excluively premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show on 16 August, 2013. The music video was premiered on Monday September 16th on VEVO.

 In March 2014 a version of the track remixed by Avicii himself was released on his remix album ‘True: Avicii By Avicii’. The brand new music video for this new version was premiered on VEVO on April 14, 2014.

CODY SIMPSON “SURFBOARD” (VIDEO PREMIERE)

After releasing his second studio album ‘Surfers Paradise‘, the Australian teen sensation is almost back to the music spotlight with brand new single entitled ‘Surfboard‘.

The single is the first taste of his forthcoming album scheduled to be released this year via Atlantic Records.

The song will be released on iTunes on March 18, 2014. About ‘Surfboard‘, Simpson said:

CHRIS BROWN “DON’T BE GONE TOO LONG” (FEAT. ARIANA GRANDE)

Chris Brown is still promoting his highly-delayed sixth studio album ‘X‘, scheduled to be released on digital retailers on May 5, 2014 via RCA Records.

After announcing ‘Autumn Leaves‘ as a future single and releasing ‘Loyal‘ as fourth single from the album in late-December last year, the singer is ready to impact the world with his next shot entitled ‘Don’t Be Gone Too Long‘.

The song is confirmed as the fifth official single taken from the album and it has the guest vocals of American singer and actress Ariana Grande. The duo has recorded the music video in March and it was directed by Chris Brown with the collaboration of Joseph Labisi.

The single is scheduled to be released on iTunes in April. The official song was premiered alongside a promotional music video via Mechanical Dummy Agency on April 14, 2014.

LANA DEL REY “ULTRAVIOLENCE” | RELEASE DATE: JUNE 2ND

‘Ultraviolence‘ is the upcoming second major studio album by American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey.

It’s scheduled to be released on digital retailers on  May 1, 2014 via Interscope Records.

 The title was revealed prior to playing Del Rey’s mini-movie ‘Tropico‘ at the Cinerama Dome on December 4, 2013, she announced to the audience the title of her next studio album. Del Rey said:

I really just wanted us all to be together so I could try and visually close out my [Born to Die/Paradise] chapter[s] before I release the new record, Ultraviolence 

The singer has recorded songs in the studio with Jeff Bhasker and Dan Auerbach, who already worked with her in Del Rey’s last, and successful album ‘Born to Die‘ (2012).
The lead single from the album is the track ‘West Coast‘, and it’s was released on digital retailers on April 14th. Still no confirmed tracklist.

VANIISH : MEMORY WORK ALBUM (LIMITED EDITION LP VINYL)

The San Francisco 4-piece VANIISH began when singer/guitarist Keven Tecon (ex Wax Idols, The Soft Moon, Veil Veil Vanish) left his previous bands after his mother’s death in early 2013. “I was on tour in Eastern Europe in the middle of winter when it happened and it was too much to handle. I couldn’t keep it up.”

After returning home, Tecon decided to focus entirely on a new project along with fellow Wax Idols and Veil Veil Vanish member Amy Rosenoff (bass) and SF music-scene luminaries Adam Beck (guitar/keyboards) and Nick Ott (drums).

The album Memory Work is both dense and spacious, combining the atmosphere of early 4AD with the psychedelic shoegaze of Creation Records. It envelopes the listener into its world of eerie soundscapes and surreal lyrics. “There is an interesting mix of synths, guitars, samples, drum machines, and live drums. We like the idea that you can’t tell what’s real and what isn’t.”

The album was produced by Monte Vallier (Weekend, The Soft Moon, Wax Idols) The title track is the sound of machines breathing and fluids pumping, with a pulse beat overladen with brush strokes of synth. “Kaleidoscoped” ditches the monochrome for crystallized shards of guitar and a sparkling chorus that’s hard to see coming. “Search and Replace” is vicious and would be more at home in 2080 than 1980 while the addictive melody of “Merge” is the closest the album comes to an actual pop song. “Succession” gives the second side of the album some breathing room with its sparse production and icy spikes of guitar. Lush album closer “La foi au fil de l’eau”, sung entirely in French, could easily find its way onto a film score.
