DAFT PUNK – COMPUTERIZED (FEAT. JAY Z)

Surprise! The Internet has unearthed “Computerized,” an unreleased collaboration between Daft Punk and Jay Z.

And yes, it’s actually real.

How the song came to be is still unclear, although users on the Daft Punk sub-Reddit point out that it contains elements from the Daft Punk-produced TRON: Legacy soundtrack.

Specifically, the song “Son of Flynn.” The Jay Z half of “Computerized” has never been heard before, but it makes sense given the fact that he expressed interest in working with the robots circa 2010, the same time the duo was working on TRON.

The song obviously doesn’t fit in with Random Access Memories (and the line “start macking on my BlackBerry” would rule out the Samsung-sponsored Magna Carta Holy Grail), so the most logical explanation for “Computerized” becomes a discarded demo from the 2010 film’s soundtrack that’s just now leaking out.

Regardless of it’s history though, “Computerized” sounds sweet, so throw it on repeat below and hopefully someone will spill the facts soon.
