KIESZA : A NEW BOP IN THE MUSIC SCENE

A new bop is ready to slay the music scene. We must be ready for the new smash. Kiesza is here! Keep calm, It’s not Kesha with another name. Kiesza was born in Calgary. When she was 16 she took part in the Sail and Lifetime Training Society (SALTS) program and a year later she joined the reserves of the Royal Canadian Navy along with her brother,[11] with whom she became a code breaker.

Whilst at that, she also entered the Miss Universe Canada pageant.
She attributes her time in the Navy as a reason why, in 2008, she gave away 4,500 CDs to Canadian troops serving in Afghanistan.

 

Kiesza took part in the Young Canadians, performing tap and jazz dancing, as well as theatre. When Kiesza was 18, she says that her parents' divorce caused her to write her first song, as a way of expressing her feelings. The same year, she heard a song of hers played on the radio. She is described as a ‘Mastermind behind the genetic development of miniature unicorns‘. SAY!

The singer is currently working on her debut album with Lokal Legend Records and for now she unveiled her debut and promising single entitled ‘Hideaway‘.

It’s a delicious UK garage, urban pop track. It’s catchy and could very easily be looking at 2014′s biggest first-week so far in the UK. ‘Hideaway‘ is currently No. 31 on iTunes based on pre-orders alone. The single will be released on April 14, 2014. The music video, with more than 1 million views, was premiered on early February and it was directed by herself in collaboration of Ljuba Castot and Rami Samir Afuni.
